Patricia "Trish" Roberts, a basketball powerhouse from Georgia, shattered records at the University of Tennessee. The first Black female athlete for the university, Roberts became the first woman ever to be named an All-American in any sport for Tennessee. She dominated on the court, still holding the record for both single-season scoring average and total points. Her rebounding prowess was unmatched in a single season as well. Roberts' talents extended to the national team, where she was a member of the 1976 Olympic Women's Basketball team.

[00:00:03] Welcome to On and Off da Field, Sports Cup Park casting with A Perkworth. I am John with my hosts on the field coach. Rest assured this is your boy, Coach Boston aka Stilination. Here we go, here we go with the world and be our Dan Sout-A.
[00:00:20] And this is your problem that's even a little. Yeah off the field coach George Trudeau Mr. aka Mr. Coach Reback Mr. Football, no at all. This is ever told never so true. Sout-A! Man, that's what Coach, what's going on, what's going on?
[00:00:33] I'm so excited brother bro we got some coming boy we got some coming out of fight, thank you. They ready, so look, episode two right? Yes, Queen's of the court. Queen's of the court and Queen's of the court and Queen's of the court. Really? Really?
[00:00:50] And so we expressed the concept. So it's really not like we talk, it's not an episode. It's more like something we're doing every year. Something we're going on all year long. Right, all year long. The kings of the field are the, you know, we're going to cooperate everybody.
[00:01:09] Kings of the court too. We mean the basketball past, brother and few. So this is something that we're going to do y'all. It'll be something annually because we're going to keep up with the past of the
[00:01:19] greats, the present, greats and the future sports in basketball, football and whatever other sports we want to cover. And with the women's popularity, this is perfect because last night there was NBA draft. You got the NBA draft. Did you catch it? Oh man, it's awesome. Look.
[00:01:36] Now I first picked Clayton Card in the end course. Yeah. Yeah. Reese went 7. She went 7 but you know she went to the Chicago sky with Car Miller Codosa. Oh, Car Miller went third. Reese went 7. Yes. Wow. So 6.7 Cardosa and 6.3 Reese on the front line. Oh, yes.
[00:02:01] That's going to be rough. That's going to be tough, brother. That's going to be tough. Wow. So who else was interested in last night in the draft? Well, thank you. You mentioned off where. And we go take this low and you know, we're going to be careful.
[00:02:19] The number two pick was interested in her. Yes. She really gifted. She's gifted. She's gifted. She's gifted. She's talented. She's gifted and talented. She's gifted and talented. We're kind of wardrobe this year. Well, you know the interesting thing is that I'll say this. I enjoy watching their wardrobe.
[00:02:40] No more. We can do it. We can do it. Man, the men's fashion. They're not a dress. But when the clown suits everybody is, Mom, I was at with my mom this morning. I went to a holiday muddoo. And we was talking about the draft.
[00:02:54] She talking about women, the WMBA. She said, do you, oh, the women just pass in the mess? Well, even everybody is in the same setting right now. It's exciting. Which is why I'm so excited about this guess because before all this took place,
[00:03:14] you had a seed of women's basketball plan in this country. Right. Of course. I'm a person coming up next. It was one of those seeds. Right. Of basketball. Confirm that song. Yes. I like the color that song. Absolutely. One of the four women. Oh, my gosh.
[00:03:30] One of them out rush marks. Oh, she, oh. Well, you know, we got to shout to a wrestler. I mean, whenever you talk about a whole family, you don't want to say, I don't want to say, I mean, I'll tell her, I'll try to do the introduction.
[00:03:43] So we have to keep it. Let's finish with this because she probably gonna call it in a minute now. Anyway, so 12, 12 picks. 12 teams. 12 teams. That was a trip to watch. First round after 12 picks. And this was the first time they had a crowd. This was the first day.
[00:03:59] So tickets are sold out. But I love, you know what I like exactly. I love the response of the crowd with each. They were fired. It was fired up. It was like an NFL draft crowd. They were fired up. The number, do you remember who the number left?
[00:04:13] The number 11 pick. They were really happy with her for some reason. Doc's game. I came in with a name. She was like six, 11 bro. Huge. I came in with what a name was. But they was really happy about it. Yeah, I don't remember.
[00:04:25] I don't have a memorized but I, but you said three or four. I stopped at the after reason. But just a huge for them to have the WMBA draft and how they don't it. How popular is it?
[00:04:36] I told you that's because of the level of talent coming out of college. Oh, absolutely. The popularity is spread. You go from one stepping stone to the next. You build on what happened with the college basketball season and now you got to the women's pro game. Right.
[00:04:52] Well, man, the draft I called it. And I was looking, but I can't remember doing something else but for the most part. Shout out to the WMBA man. Oh, yes. The first, first one I picked. Man. It was impressive. So we got the second round tonight.
[00:05:07] No, that was everything. It was last night. It was the first, second, the third rounds were last night. See, I thought they did this day at one round. They did it all over. They did it all over. They did it all over.
[00:05:15] You know, and they do like in the NFL and the later round they do that speed draft. Right. So they'll tell they'll make the picks and like they'll show the picture five players that just got drafted in the past few minutes and stuff.
[00:05:28] I think they can't even do it to Nick level. I think she'll do five, man. She's ready. She can shoot. And that's a key in this day and age with basketball. She can no. It's enough for her. That's all she's got to do.
[00:05:40] See, this is where she's going to show her two talents because she doesn't have to be everything to ever sit a whole team. She's got support now. Right. She had to do that with I.
[00:05:51] Alia Boston is going to be running that picking roll high pick and roll with her. Set and plan defense running the court with her with the other players that that will be on her level. Now she'll finally play with people on her level for the first time.
[00:06:03] I got a messy question. Caitlin went to who again the Indiana Indian. All right, what's going to happen when the fee for meat is sky with reasoner? I guess we're going to have another rivalry like burden magic.
[00:06:22] That's going to be five burden magic for the female side on the field outside. Yeah. On the female side. Right. I'll tell you the first game, the first game that Caitlin Clark plays for the fever. They're going to break the attendance record and the rating.
[00:06:37] The rating is record. Who did it? Well, who did it? I don't even know who they're going to know. It doesn't matter. It's the fact that Caitlin Clark's first WMBA game in the world, the United States will be watching. I got to break this up dude.
[00:06:49] Because I can see people's Greg. They say that they're not celebrating the winner of the like South Carolina but they still talk more about Caitlin than South Carolina and South Carolina won't.
[00:07:03] I told you that in the last one, you know, any other season South Carolina would be to talk at a town. They went undefeated. Anytime you go undefeated, wire to wire. No, you get to talk with a town. They should be to talk with a town.
[00:07:14] But there's so many complexities to that. You had women's basketball on the rise. You had a star going after records and sometimes an individual star and you know, will outshone a team with teams records. So the biggest story was Caitlin Clark. Oh, yeah.
[00:07:32] Oh, we got it right here. Coach, hello, coach. Hi, how are you? Good. We got a Patricia Tristromas in your field and we're going to own it up to field. Coach, coach, coach. Can you hear me? Good, coach. I'm not good but I can hear you.
[00:07:58] Okay, do you need us to come up? How we sound and how we sound that coach. Can you hear me? I'm okay. Okay, alright. It's a pleasure having you on the show once again. We got to listen. We got to give you some handclaps to pull them up.
[00:08:14] You know, you are a second game. And so we have been keeping the people that suspense as to who we had coming on. We're going to even say your name. Because see, I got it. And here's why.
[00:08:22] Because I got to give you your just results with your introduction. So if you could give me a few minutes if I could tell these people a little bit about you if you don't mind. Okay, that's one. Listen, we have on this show our Hall of Famer.
[00:08:35] We got the first black to play at Tennessee. We got the 76 Olympian that played and we got when they played in the first inaugural women's Pro Basketball League. She is the first black female head coach at the University of Maine.
[00:08:52] And Coach also at the University of Michigan as a head coach. Coach for the American Basketball League. We have none other than Patricia. Trace, Robert Roberts, interviewer. Wow. What are the introductions? You're working. It's worth it. It's worth it.
[00:09:12] You're the first queen of the court that's been on here. So shall I give you for that. You make it history. You're the first queen of the court that's been on on and off to fear. And it's an honor for us. Wow. I'm glad to be here. Amen.
[00:09:25] Let's say we're going to get right into this. We was already talking about when you call and we were talking about course sports, but we want to get to know you. We always do this icebreaker because our coach Boston he has an interesting answer for this question.
[00:09:41] But we want to get your take on this. What's your favorite NFL team? And if you don't have a favorite one, okay Kansas City. Okay Kansas City. Okay Kansas City. Is that a recent Kansas City or have you always been Kansas City? Yeah, it's a recent.
[00:09:59] I'm jumping on the win bad wagon. It's okay. I'm Georgia and Atlanta Falcons is my team. But right now. It's a win that you stopped being in the lap. Well, when did you, you know, switch to be KC just because of Patrick. My whole the way.
[00:10:17] Well, just recently, I was guessing the last three or four years. Okay, all right. Okay, all right. Yeah. So let's get started. So tell everybody where are you from? I'm from Georgia, a small town called Monroe. Okay, where is that in relation to Atlanta?
[00:10:36] About 45 miles east of Atlanta. Okay. And about 24 miles east of Athens with the University Georgia. How far is that from McDonald, Georgia? Um, probably about an hour and a half, right? Okay. Okay, I was this there recently. That's how I've just asked him. Okay. All right.
[00:11:00] So tell everybody how did you get started playing basketball? Well, I have for all the brothers. Okay. I'm the youngest of seven. And my siblings used to play in the yard all the time. He's a must-to-stir. And I was the odd one out.
[00:11:15] They would never let me play. You know. Oh, my oldest sister once he got a little bit older and started dating. And you know, when doing their nails and stuff, getting one up. He didn't want to mess up our nails and her make-up.
[00:11:30] It's the one they, my brother told me to come on. And they realized how soon I was. So they started choosing me over my other sister. Wow. And I was my next question. Right. Did you have been a female during that time?
[00:11:45] How did you, what did you find your competition? Obviously, so it was your brothers. Did you play, then, was that the norm playing against guys? Yeah, I'm not going to let us out of the yard very much. So we had to find things to do with each other.
[00:11:58] So we played a lot of basketball. Okay. Wow. Okay. So let me ask you, coach, what challenges did you find yourself facing? You know, trying to pretty basketball as a black woman, you know, doing the 60s. They were in that era.
[00:12:12] What kind of challenges did you find yourself facing? Well, you know, being in Georgia, I'm right here in the middle of civil rights. I went to all black school up to the ninth grade. And so I didn't play organized basketball until I went to the ninth grade.
[00:12:28] That was first year of integration. Okay. Wow. Wow. That's huge. Wow. Coach, that's huge, coach. Yeah, it is. That is. And I remember the first day of practice. Tell us what? First day of practice.
[00:12:47] My coach put all the black kids on one end, or white kids on the other. Oh, my god. They ran a scream into what? What did he, what was happening? Oh, it was separate. And that's what it was. What did practice that way? Um, individual and today.
[00:13:03] Individual and. What did you play high school? Um, Monroe. Hi. Monday or area, companies of high school. Okay. Okay. And why you were there? Did you have any dreams of playing college? I mean, was that even a thought? No. I wasn't.
[00:13:19] I mean, you know, I graduated from high school in 73. 72 was the inception of Title IX. Okay. Wow. When I graduated high school, they're, I didn't know anything about college basketball. I remember receiving a letter from our coach asking if I wanted to come and play.
[00:13:41] But I didn't even know I was going to college. I had an applied for college just or anything. And, um, when I graduated from high school, I went and got my job at a factory. And I was, make someone top-sick in the band on work pants.
[00:13:57] And I did that for about two months. And I, so my mom, I couldn't do that anymore. So I went all back over to my high school and talked to my goddess counselor. And I, I'll never forget her name was Ms. Farren.
[00:14:11] Mr. Ms. Mars, why do I need to go to college? And I filled up several things that were, do you want to go? I said, I don't know. I said, I got a letter from your coach. Oh, come on. I'm going to call him and somebody basketball.
[00:14:24] Oh, wow. That's where I did. I've filled out the application of no Georgia college. So you went to North Georgia in Latin, not Tennessee. Right. Right. Okay. Okay. So North Georgia is a military college. Really? It was a military college.
[00:14:42] And I didn't start college to that anywhere because, you know, when I got out of school, I went right to work. Right. So I started that winter, winter. At that time they were winter quarters, not the best. Okay. All right.
[00:14:58] So what, when you were selected as a member of the women's basketball team, what, what went into that? What being selected? What kind of process did, how did you get selected? What's the process like being selected to the US and the basketball team?
[00:15:13] That was, that was another story because my coach at North Georgia, after one year I was there, she left and got the job at Emporia State in Kansas. So several of the players transferred to Emporia State. And I was one of those, it transferred to Emporia State.
[00:15:33] So you have to transfer a portal back in the center. You know, down to the last place of all of that year. So the transfer a portal bit around. So you have to transfer a portal. We gotta give you credit for that.
[00:15:49] I told you, I see a queen of the court. So that's a trade goes trade. First one, I used a transfer a portal. First, we got to put that down. First black female, I had to use a transfer a portal. I love it. Oh my goodness. Oh, man.
[00:16:09] That's funny. So now you're on the team and where was the 76 game tell? They were in Montreal, but I had tried out for several USA basketball teams. Okay. Anytime I got caught, I tried out fuzzy USA national team. And then the next year before the Olympics,
[00:16:31] I tried out for the Pan American teams. And I got caught. And I remember the coast of that team came over and I was one of the last ones to get caught. Just study young ladies, just said, you're good players.
[00:16:44] You said, but you need to go back to your college and get a little more experience and get a little bit stronger because our real college city spec is. Okay. And so I'm, you know, what back to school,
[00:16:56] and I'm pouring in the work hard and I just put on some weight and been a lot of time in the gym. And then, a strange thing happened because when I got caught from that team,
[00:17:11] this lady came up and handed me a flyer to come out to California playing there summerly. So she said, well, you gotta find your own way but once you get there, she said, I'll get to have you a place to stay and I can go to some sponsors.
[00:17:28] Right. So I got found the way to get out there and stayed in a hotel for all summer for that league and the Donald was my sponsor. I didn't make Donald two times today.
[00:17:41] Coach, I wanted to ask you a quick question because you mentioned earlier that you were cut from several teams that you tried out for. What, what do you think was the, what did you come up with? Sure that. Was it a skill set situation?
[00:17:58] Was it a strength and condition situation? Did you, what did you have to work at the hardest time? I think it was a politics like in everything. Wow. It was a girl that wrote on that team. Um, played a kind of known fool, you know,
[00:18:15] and I was at the importance. They nobody heard of his story, state. And I'm telling you how I ended up on the Olympic team to be honest. Um, I played in that summer league in California.
[00:18:25] I had to the girls that made the Pan Am team also was in that league. And I got both the MVP and that summer league. Really? And the Olympic coach lived in California. She came over to our championship game and watched our game. Who was the coach there?
[00:18:45] I saw there was a, I still have this article that was an article in L.A. So it's a talk about how I had gotten from the team and how I was hearing his league up and everything.
[00:18:56] So when I went back to the Olympic set next spring and they had them in the trials. The Olympic coach had seen me play. You know, she knew I was good. Right. And so I made the Olympic team.
[00:19:08] She gave you, she gave you a, you're just, you're just due at that point. She had to. Right. Yeah. I got to ask this, you talked about the Olympic team was race. Of course, I'm guessing race was an issue with being on the Olympic team. Was it? No.
[00:19:25] It's really when we were very close and near through because Billy Moore, the late great Billy Moore Olympic coach, um, expressed to us how important it was because we were making history. Right. We were the first. Right. Women's Olympic basketball team.
[00:19:46] And she expressed to us how important it was for us to win a medal. Right. Wow. So you were so morale was important on the team. Oh yeah. We even took this day, even to the day we got several that have passed away.
[00:20:01] But even to this day, we are still a very close. We have our own little thread that we, you know, I liked that. We're all too every now and then. We're very close.
[00:20:13] People you've been in the trenches with like that, um, you know, side by side, you know, through the proverbial bloods when it tears you appreciate. You know, you know, I can kind of, um, it's the non-absorbed with me being an Amuletary.
[00:20:27] That's why when you, I brought up my right arm. I'm, you know, you meet people from all walks of life, you know, playing back. I'm sure you've met people from all walks of life and you've had to, you've had to
[00:20:37] grow up shoulders and elbows and team up and lock in where people that were a whole different culture from you, but had to put the culture to the side because it was game time, you know? Exactly. So to me, that's, that's fire.
[00:20:50] That's powerful because you invest in each other as human beings. We invest in each other when we, when we lock in together, you know, that's right. Exactly. So yeah, I like that. I love that. I'm, I'm a, just in case you can't tell, I'm an X Navy man.
[00:21:04] You know what I mean? So, you know the same thing happened when I was in an ice pool. You know, it was the first time in the integration and we had five kids in my class. We played together, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, right.
[00:21:23] And when we got to play, we were like, y'all, this is it. We want to say 50 kids are 12 great years as we had been together for that long. What was it? It was just great. We need to want some more.
[00:21:36] I drive down some under all because I don't live in money. I live in the cater outside of Atlanta. Okay. I drive down there and we have lunch once a month and just, you know that. That bond, that bond of athletes is strong. I have a team.
[00:21:52] It's strong. I have a team. Like I said, when you've been in the trenches together, you know, and you, you know, you had a common, a common enemy, which is the other team right. It's the logic coach. It's not so cold. So it goes to me. Exactly.
[00:22:09] Well, what was what was Pat Summit like as a teammate? Well, during the whole time I never knew that was the whole time through the Olympic team. You were all full of head coached in a thing. Are you early? Yeah. They hired her with just 22 years old.
[00:22:29] He had been in the coach for three or two years. Wait a minute, coach. So you tell me simultaneously as you were playing with her. She was to coach at Tennessee? Yeah. But I didn't know it.
[00:22:42] I didn't know it's important to end because I had mentioned to someone that my coach left the employee and I was like, I really don't want to go back to the wrong reason I changed her. They were because he was there. So I jumped into the truck.
[00:22:55] I was there to try and pull it with me. So you didn't get his life. Oh my goodness. I'm not the first coach. You get a blow of course. I won that ball. You didn't have to go to the court. Twice.
[00:23:10] You didn't twice, though, I'm going to go. I love it. So well, I had mentioned to one of my teammates that, you know, I want to go somewhere close to the home. I'm George. You can't even be George right there. Close together, sort of.
[00:23:27] So Pat got wind of it. And next thing I know, everywhere I was, there's two was a good next to me on the bus. A good next to me and a bad at all. A good next to me on the bench. I don't even know.
[00:23:42] It's like in my ear, but you want to have a casting. So I figured she was just trying to be a captain. I was recruited. You used recruited. Exactly. She's smart. She's smart. That is amazing. That's amazing. That's amazing. That's amazing.
[00:23:57] So she offered you, so she offered you why during the Olympics to come to Tennessee? Well, she didn't offer me anything. I didn't pay my own way. Ah, really? I never had a basketball scholarship even though everything my replayed on, I was always the best player.
[00:24:19] So you basically worked and paid for your own work study loan. Yeah. Oh, wow. Let's see, it's never given me anything even for this day. They had anything to be retroactive somehow. Yeah. And you still hold records. They all used some money, coach. You still hold records. Yeah.
[00:24:39] Oh, my goodness. I mean, won't make my jersey even though I was first black player to play with Pat. I was first Olympian that played in that program. I was the first all of Americans.
[00:24:52] That's, I actually was the first all of America for any women's choice that Tennessee. Really? I was the first on a four. I broke 11 records when I was there. I think six, seven, still stand today. Yeah. I know the scoring record. I don't want to.
[00:25:08] I'm in the women's basketball Hall of Fame three times. Once as a player, twice as a trailblazer with the Olympic team and then with the first Olympic pro league at WBF. And then last all of this, I was in that's the next minute. Well, go out of here.
[00:25:24] I didn't even know you had or what you created it for me. And I missed it. I got to do your introduction again. I'm also in the employer of the face, call of honor. And the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.
[00:25:38] I'm in the women's, women in sports and education hall of Fame. Oh, you are deafening all that. You're a queen of the court. Yeah. I can't get my jersey. I'm good enough to be in everybody's hall of fame, but I'm not good enough to have
[00:25:51] my jersey hung in the rat. Now they got, we gotta get that fixed. We're going to start a competition. We're going to send a letter. You know what AD is at Tennessee coach? I don't even quite. White, right? Yeah.
[00:26:06] And I say that because mostly, for the listeners, when you at the University of Maine, the athletic director was Dr. White. He's bad. Wow. That's right. So let me ask you this coach. Kind of personal level. Describe some of you experience both both good and bad. At Tennessee.
[00:26:28] At Tennessee. Well, when I was there, about 3% minority enrollment. And a university was over 30. It's quite a few years later now. I think Tennessee is probably 40, 50,000. I don't know. But back then it's about 30,000. I felt safer whenever I was inside or around the athletic department.
[00:26:53] But you know, going to class in the stuff, I was mostly always the only black person in class. And it wasn't frightening, but for me, the nurse will come to girl and not having been around a lot of white people. It was different.
[00:27:15] I didn't have a lot of friends other than my basketball team. Did you ever have any death threats while you were at Tennessee? No death threats. On the road, I ran into a lot of negative individuals. I was driving on the road at Ole Miss.
[00:27:32] I was, you know, on the spot at Red of Confederate Flag, you know, there. I was called to eat words and, you know, Tennessee was big orange and whatever we ran into the tunnel. And half time we ran into the tunnel with throwing orange feelings that day.
[00:27:50] Oh, there. Oh, yeah. That's going to answer one of the questions later down the road. Right. So, and I guess part of the next question is, and obviously I was, you know, in Maine
[00:28:05] when you were there, at least I can say I had about six to seven other guys from North Jersey that were there with me. And so it made the whole process of being there a lot better. You know, if I was lonely, we were all lonely together.
[00:28:25] Yeah, so, but for yourself at Tennessee, how did you handle that social aspect outside of the basketball? I just had to say focus. I say focus and, and luckily, you know, after being Olympic, my mother had got their cars,
[00:28:38] you know, I drove the university, but was about three hours drive a home. So anytime I heard an opportunity to try home at a free time, I went home. What kind of car was it? I wanted to know that. I want it. Oh, oh, be your old maker.
[00:28:55] What year was that? I don't even make them anymore. What year was it, coach? What year was it? Oh my gosh. I don't know. Now, when back there, we didn't elect your 225. No, no, it wasn't that big. What was he talking about?
[00:29:15] Oh man, if it was the 17th, something. Okay. 70. I think it was a 73. What? What? 70, what are 70, what was that? Was that car you saying your mom got? Was that through the NIO deal? Oh, that's it. Is it in my family? Here is from my mom.
[00:29:38] So you've been in the NIO and the train of course. She's a recruitment, and I'm asking her to tell you in the brand new car. How do you behave? No. But you know what? You know what?
[00:29:49] I got that car because when I went into Tennessee, I was going my senior year. I had to do my student teaching. Oh, why? And not to those who didn't have no bus, not those not a talent they had. Bus services, you know.
[00:30:03] And where I was doing my student. I didn't know where I was doing my student teaching, but I knew it was somewhere I could walk. Right. Right. Oh, I'm on the car.
[00:30:12] I told her I was going to take a year off and in the comments you like, no, you mean take them your own school. Wow. So she had an old trunker and said, well, I'll just drive this another year, whatever.
[00:30:23] And she got me one and said, oh my goodness, I tell you a fun fact is coach is coach is her scoring average was 29.9 points per game. And Caitlin Clarks was 31.6 per game. I was going to put it in perspective. Also, and she had average 14.2 rebound. Okay.
[00:30:48] Now that's putting that was the missing piece we were talking about right. Right. We sure what we talked about that I would have a missing piece. Caitlin, the best student probably will see in a while. But I would kept coming up short. Came up short last year.
[00:31:04] They be elished. I mean they be socked out in the last year, but they came up short to elish you. To a sock out in the missing piece. You would have a missing piece. Yeah. rebound. rebound. That's right. We talked about that. We said, I'll tell you.
[00:31:19] Take it. He says win game. That's right. We both was champion. Who said that again? It's a good game. I think he got off the same. Also, so take it. This is win game. Shout out. Rebound wins. Yes. Five. So listen.
[00:31:37] Now we got to get this if they don't have it, we're going to definitely have to put in some motion on it. Is there a statue of you? You know, you got in the postseason. Thank you. So she didn't have her jersey.
[00:31:51] How did I go give me a gift? Yeah. We're going to have to correct that we got to make it. No postseason was. No holiday. No. They got my picture. They got a gift. You're being a friend. You're being a friend.
[00:32:04] I mean, we're going to ask you about this right here. Come on, Tennessee. Come on, University of Tennessee now. All right. So will you able to play professionally after the University of Tennessee? Actually, I did. I went into the first Bible. I was the first one. So WBL.
[00:32:21] WBL. Which is what I have to do. WBL. I did round that part. I've not caught. Gugly. I did round it out when I was in your resume. I remember that part. I did miss that. Yeah. And I was asked if I was a Minnesota Filly. Minnesota Filly.
[00:32:37] How was that? Wow. So many athletes. There were teams in Minnesota, St. Louis, California, New York, New Jersey, New Washington D.C., Iowa, Nebraska. Did y'all fly? Or Warren. Oh. Oh wow. Where else? Let me. We have the Apollo 16 team. We have more than WBL has right now.
[00:33:04] They got more than WBL. The W MBA. They only got 12. Oh wow. Yeah. Yeah. What did you watch the draft coach? I sure did. What do you think? Uh, they got it right. The only thing I'm in the pre-chate was them drafting them for a player.
[00:33:23] We got all these players in here. Right. Oh. They already don't have enough rock to say. They're giving it to foreigners when, you know, they need to be given these kids here or dance. Again, it's politics, right? It's politics. It's politics. It's finance, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
[00:33:43] So how did you end up being a coach at at the University of Maine? Well, when the WBL followed it, I was so. I started two years in Minnesota and I hurt my knee. Okay. I was never 100% they put me on waivers and St. Louis tign up.
[00:34:02] And when St. Louis tign up, I had my bench year with all for all the next thing. And then the league falls. And I said, okay, I'm going to end my career on a good note. I played in the fall meeting. I played all for all.
[00:34:16] So I had a plan on coming back home and teaching. Because, you know, coach and high school is teaching. But I stayed in St. Louis the next year. And I got a call from this coach that I knew she was an official.
[00:34:35] And then she was also the coach at Colorado College. Okay. So whenever I went out to Colorado Springs at Olympic training center, we trained out there. We always use their facilities. Okay. So you remember me when she was in Georgia and she was an official.
[00:34:53] She said, well, you want to do what you get a plan. That's the one I want to coach. So he went to the final point year and everybody. You all know where I can find true trouble. Please, true sugar. They said, well, you won't play a bonus.
[00:35:09] They look. But she ran out into that. That gave her my mom address. And she sent a letter to my home on my mom. And I went to Central Michigan and interviewed and she gave me the job. She said, I remember you saying you wanted to come.
[00:35:25] And so since I really wasn't doing anything, I had played the year off. The lady had pulled it. I was still in St. Louis trying to figure it out. I went to Central Michigan. And I was there for a couple of years.
[00:35:37] And then she got the head job at the University of Illinois. She took a Illinois. Took a staff at Illinois. Okay. And I was there for a year in Illinois. The big ten. And then this black coat with the head coat of the University of Wisconsin.
[00:35:54] But that's all. I'm going to go over this black coat. So I worked with her a year and then she got fired. I'm like, oh, I just hated those all. So I have a question coach. And it's kind of off the 70 because I'm a,
[00:36:12] I love traveling and seeing pretty places. It's main is beautiful as they say. I love me. I really did love me. I experienced a lot of outs towards each type thing. But I normally wouldn't have, I didn't have really any kind of social life.
[00:36:32] That's why I put so much focus on basketball. We were pretty successful up there. You were. Wow. And I used to, we were just doing this. We were here. The football team was the student section. Really. We used to get. Oh man. Imagine a bunch of football players.
[00:36:52] She and for the basketball. We looked around. I was running. Something about basketball players. Oh, really? I didn't know about that. Oh yeah. Coach, I got a little with that. That's there. Come on. Come on. I'm going to be basketball players with Jason too. Yeah. Where's that college?
[00:37:17] Were you there when I could dinner for the basketball team? Yeah. So let me tell you. So this is what happened. You came into the training room. And I said, I said coach, you know how to cook?
[00:37:33] And you kind of gave me this look like I'm from born from Georgia. I'm a black woman from Georgia. Of course not. And I think I specifically said do you know how to cook greens? Yeah, I know how to get down.
[00:37:47] So I think I invited myself to dinner there for you to cook for us. And I think it was a few ended up being a football team and a couple of basketball players. And we were there and broke Brad with you.
[00:38:05] And saw your medals, saw some pictures, remember? It was awesome. It was really awesome. Wow. That's good. Yeah. That was, that was in fact one of the things I was going to say is you know because we thought
[00:38:20] about when we were doing this show was like I was wondering, you know, where what did you do it mean? Because like I said I hung out with the football team, you know, and you were they're coaching. I didn't do anything. Oh my god. I'm thinking.
[00:38:34] I, I, I, I mean, I was I couldn't find the team. He, he, he, he, let's hear. I know. We have heard the old black and guilty. And remember they had those blue balls where the mall closed on Sunday. That's right. Okay. Yeah.
[00:38:56] I mean it was really boring up there. Yeah. Yeah. It was at times. It wasn't time. I would thought of these little small towns and they had these little quaint towns. I was driving at these little quiet towns and go to one of their little restaurant
[00:39:09] and getting some lobster or something like that. Real quiet. Nice. Okay. Everybody knew who I was. Right. All of our home gangs with tele, you know, main had no proof for all of our home basketball games for televised. As, as was football. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:39:27] And we were the only, only thing in the state. Wow. We don't need to vision one institution in the state. So, so yeah, I get that. I get that. Wow. Yeah. I mean, tell me after me where did you go?
[00:39:40] To tug us from main to your first professional job in coaching. Well, when I left main, I got the head job at the University of Michigan. Okay. So the worst career move I could have made. Why? It was a career killer for me to be honest.
[00:40:00] Um, I was there when the bad Bob was there. Okay. Wow. And I had a, um, Kevin White, he had moved in. He had left and gone to two light. Right. That's right.
[00:40:15] Because that was another reason I wanted to leave because he's not one of the new ADC. I mean, they want to bring their own people. It's, I just didn't connect with that new ADC. I've been connected with them at all. I got you.
[00:40:28] And so Kevin told me, he said, uh, that's going to be a tough sale at Michigan. And he told me because they don't care anything except for about football and men's basketball. And he told me that. But no, I'm going to speak to him.
[00:40:46] I'm going to be for Michigan who has passed some of these. This Tennessee, I'm going to build that front. I have to speak to him. I have to speak to him. I have to speak to him. I have to speak to him. I have to speak to him.
[00:40:57] I have to speak to him. I did. It made me so many different than far past. Wow. So I go there. They have won 3 games a year before in the big 10. I have to get rid of a couple of players. That's it.
[00:41:16] It took me about three years to start getting players in. So I've got the administration was getting a little empty. And then by my fourth year, finally had gotten my team together. My big player was the best player that has to cry. It was just six or four.
[00:41:37] She blew me out and that was our rebound. That was our player in the middle. And then I had another great recruiting class because before I got to Michigan pass some, I had a pipeline. Every number one player out of Michigan was first. Right.
[00:41:59] And she told me she's a coach as long as you're at Michigan. She's got problems you are. I will not recruit Michigan anymore. Really? That was great. Yes. Some of those good players, you know.
[00:42:10] Missile gets the Miss Michigan basketball a couple of times that I have to warm her up. And then my last year there, I had recruited the Miss Michigan basketball player. Then get the coach. But I lost him along the wrong side. Wow. All right.
[00:42:25] I can't hear any rumbles about trees. They can get rid of you. You know, I can't hear it. There's going to be changes at this. And so I just jumped ahead. I'm like, I need to get inspired by nobody. So I turned it on.
[00:42:36] Resonation because at that time, I have been talking to the people in Atlanta about the ABL. Okay. Okay. And I ended up getting the job on that protein. The ABL. Okay. So when I resigned from Michigan, I already had that job in the ABL. Smart. All right.
[00:42:57] Coach, this segment we call sports jeopardy. I got flot through it. We're going to fly to I got two quick ones for you. I had one written down but I wrote another one down and it just came in the mind.
[00:43:08] I'm going to drop this one on your right quick. Who are you picking? Swoop, so clock. Listen. I don't know what Clark's on you. So here's my question. But I know what will be right. Right. Well, here's my question slash statement and then I asked my other one.
[00:43:35] To me, Swoop is more all around player than Cah. Caitlin Clark. Exactly. So you get more with her. Right. Exactly. You get both of us. I saw Sean. Caitlin. Right. Everything. And she's going to play defense. Right. I can't play that.
[00:43:53] So could you what could you do with it today's WMBA coach? Which is how you can do it. Thank you. And my friend. That was in my friend. Yes. Oh, I can angle with it because they always told me that I was before my time. Oh. Maybe.
[00:44:10] You know, I was quite at the job. They didn't have the three points shot but I was an accurate mid-range shooter. I posted up. I was a great rebound to put back. Which is impressive. What we have to numbers.
[00:44:25] Your scoring average is more impressive because you didn't have a three-point shot. Yeah. Yeah, your numbers through the roof. Yeah, yeah. So let me ask you this. You've made the comment earlier that you were really slim. I guess you had to find yourself put on.
[00:44:39] You had to put on a few pounds. It kind of get down there and hold your own down there in the prank. I tried. I tried. The most I waited in college was a hundred and six. So can win. Hey, bad, don't know. So bad.
[00:44:55] So what do you think about this past year's Kyle's basketball season? Oh, it was all the game. I'm just so happy to see that we... ...who loved basketball and play basketball. We knew that we had a product. Right. And it took this one girl. One white girl. Okay.
[00:45:17] Two... Katelyn. Two... ...elevate our game to where he should have been years ago. And Katelyn gave a break up because she was in an environment where they had sellout crowd. And when you have a... ...you're playing in a...
[00:45:39] ...in a college town where you're selling out every home game. Yes. Of course the media is going to want to know what's going on. Absolutely. Absolutely. Coach. Okay, go ahead. And so with her bringing the media attention. And then you got age and reason. LSU, the same thing.
[00:45:56] They're selling out LLL. Right. I mean, it was just dynamic. It was just good for women's basketball. That's right. I know what's bossing is. Well, we talked about this before you called. And they say that... ...they're saying that with soccer alone a women's basketball, women in the championship.
[00:46:15] And undefeated again, you know, shout out to Don Staley. But the talk of the year is Katelyn Clark. Do you think that Sheila Jittermiles is being talked about over the champions? I was so upset about that because South Carolina had just won the National Championship.
[00:46:39] And all of the media coverage, TV, no, everything was following Katelyn Clark. Right. That's right. I'm listening to you. In the field. Coach, get your... I'm listening to you. You got your... You got your... Go ahead. There must have... Please. And even...
[00:47:00] And even now, and even now, everywhere you look is, you know, Katelyn Clark commercials. Katelyn Clark is this Katelyn Clark's best. Where are the South Carolina players? Preach. Right. They are the ones that won the National Championship, not Katelyn Clark.
[00:47:18] They don't want to try anything away from Katelyn Clark because what he did for women's basketball is phenomenal. But come on, you got to give South Carolina their flowers. Preach the love. Preach the love. It's a lot of business out there. Come on, Nick. Networks. Preach the love.
[00:47:35] But, but, second, and then, Don's daily need to be a topic of discussion. Yeah. You... She shouldn't be... I'm court. Absolutely. I'm court. Yeah, because what she's done is legend. That's how to coach about that before you call it. And we... we kind of have a discussion.
[00:47:49] So here's my other one. You're... you're familiar with... Camilla Codoso. How was your guard, hurt? I wouldn't. That's how I was just... Frick Dannon, I'm sick one. I'm a small, small, powerful type. You know? If you had to coach your... your... your player.
[00:48:13] What would you tell your player? How would you tell your player to play her? How would you tell your player? What... what... You try to push your up the lane? Just, you know, just try to not let or get the ball on the block? Right.
[00:48:25] Just beat her to the block. Hmm. If you were on this year's Iowa team with Caitlin Clark have a championship? Of course! Yeah! So, no! You got it! No, no! Come on! Because he would have a rebounder. Right. And we said... What's the difference in the...
[00:48:44] What's the difference in the... We said that. That's right. And the both teams that they lost against... ...LSU was bigger and soccer are bigger. They hurt him on the ball. But you know what coach I'm gonna say this. You can't even... You can't even...
[00:48:58] Well, that's called your first call. That's what you first call. That's what you first call. That's a bit called. You should end it again because the call is made. You can't call it. You can't call it. And then we don't know what to say.
[00:49:09] You would have made this. Shot either. Facts. That's true. You say... Two say... All right. All right. I like this. Who's the best? Who's the best player you ever played against? The toughest... Like, to the toughest guard. College Olympus approach. Which one?
[00:49:26] Which toughest player you ever played against? The toughest player I ever played against is the late great Lucy Harris. Luther Harris Stewart. Why? And don't tell me you don't know her. Whoops. Please don't tell me you don't know her. I'm sorry coach. I don't know her. Tell us.
[00:49:42] Tell us. I'm sorry. Coach, why are you doing that with self? We get it. We get the warpwamp. I'm sorry. Don't you play that Delta's face? They won three next to camp here. Yeah. They just hit her. Jack, this furniture... Uh... Uh... Supported, funny, and so on.
[00:50:01] Believe the documentary on her that just want my Academy Award last year. Wow. She was featured in that documentary and before it came out, she passed away in February. Mmm. Man, shout out to her. I apologize. Well, not that we know her.
[00:50:19] She was on the first Olympic team. She made the first basket. And the Olympic. When women were just intercepted into the Olympics, she made the first basket. This is heavy. This is heavy. This is heavy. Oh my goodness. This is... this is... this is what we have.
[00:50:37] Guess like this on an out the field. Yeah. Because we find out things. intricate details that nobody knew about. We cover both sides of the field. That's all I'm saying. So, Coach, tell me what your favorite athlete to watch outside of women's basketball?
[00:50:51] It's probably to read a way you've... Mmm. Hmm. That's... that's... Did you play tennis? I did in high school and I played one year in college. Okay. How were you? Well, I had the number one spot in high school. My junior senior year.
[00:51:09] I played the number one spot. And then in college I picked up eight to third spot. I played tennis in high school, two coach. I never got any closer than the number three seed. I never got... I couldn't beat the one and two for nothing. I tried.
[00:51:26] And I used to go out on every day too. To the point I got tennis elbow when I had to stop playing. Wow. Yeah. I looked like the hunts back in order to die. So, um... Favorite chapter in the Bible.
[00:51:39] This is this probably my favorite question to ask you because you know, I'm a fellow believer. Yeah. What's the favorite chapter in the Bible? And if you can tell me why if you don't mind expanding a little bit on this. Well, I'm gonna tell you my favorite book.
[00:51:58] And then I'll tell you my favorite chapter. My favorite book in the Bible is Father. Because Father offers a... It offers a lot of advice on any areas of life. Right. Um... You know, talks a lot about moral. Right. That's stuff like that. So when I were younger,
[00:52:25] I was probably the first door to the chapter that I was in the most. And then my favorite chapter is Matthew 24. Okay. Okay. I thought your favorite chapter was also in Proverbs. No, my favorite chapter is Matthew. What made you?
[00:52:46] My mother used to talk about it all the time. The 24th chapter, Matthew. Uh-huh. That's a heavy chapter. My dear, my dear, that's a heavy chapter. The 24th chapter, who was she talking about. She knows. My dear, no, my dear, my dear, my dad was... You're wild.
[00:53:06] I know what I'm talking about when... If somebody said, Matthew chapter 24, they say, man, I said, My dear, no, my dear, my dear was in them trenches. Matthew 24. You need to read everything tonight. I'm reading this. I'm talking about false prophets, which I say today. No, Trump is...
[00:53:26] I think he's there. But I can't believe he's there. No, he's there. The only reason I know he's not an anacrisis, because he's gonna come out in Europe. The Bible says you'll come out in from over there in Europe. So, Trump and in from over there,
[00:53:39] he too likes getting... He'll be way done. You're right about that. Talk about wars and rumors of war. Man, my dear. Oh no, my dear. I'm getting about, right? It's a cotem... Wait, divers places. Little party, no, my dear. Wait, no, my dear. Bring it to me.
[00:53:55] Bring it to me. Bring it to me. Bring it to me. Bring it to me. Bring it to me. Bring it to me. Bring it to me. And we've got more hatred than you now to say. It's now that ever! Bring it. Bring it back to you 24.
[00:54:07] That's right now, that's wrong. Oh, that's wrong. That's right. We got... Yes, heaven. Re-mathi 24. That's a done deal. That's heaven. That's a heaven. That's no deal. Co-tooth your favorite, Lady Ball, you ever watched play other than yourself? Well, there's been a lot of great.

[01:03:27] I know I think that's gonna be back there right in the book gonna be getting a phone call I think that they're gonna be getting a call we got to push some we got to push some push behind you because
[01:03:37] you were definitely an unsung here but I know coach Bowsing got some play but just before I turned your loose on on the off the field side any advice you would give you know up and coming you know young ladies as yourself
[01:03:50] you look at him and you can see yourself in a mirror like you're looking in a mirror in any advice yeah you know I see a lot of young ladies that play the game and love
[01:04:01] the game I was first thing I was tell what tell them that if you love the game with basketball you gotta have gotta be passionate about it and you gotta be intentional in your work ethic
[01:04:13] and I don't know you can you got to work harder than than than than others I mean you gotta spend more time in the gym and if that is your passion
[01:04:25] always said and I always been told if you find your path then you'll find your purpose in life wow that's facts that's facts coach so what show or movie have you watched too many times
[01:04:38] oh my god I missed over if you asked any of my players from me they would be like oh so three had to watch at least once a year on a bus trip it's called imitation of life
[01:04:52] imitation of life I remember that yeah I watched it myself yeah in the but my wife yeah oh my goodness well there's two versions of it one in back and why and then they re-did it in years later the number one in color okay oh my goodness
[01:05:11] so who I feel like I moved today and I still want to know even though I don't want to wrap it who would win a steel cage wrestling match between a former president Obama and former president Donald Trump oh mama of course he's not with him
[01:05:35] Trump out of shape Trump is a baseball guy who's pro-punch and then you're back away fucking keep moving and then shrimp him up he's shrimp him up you know we can't get up who would win a toned twister contest between Mike Tyson and Shannon Sharp oh my goodness

[01:06:17] oh she's doing a press and she's doing a press and she's doing a press I'm not sure. It's a very last question, Alex. What would you do anything different? Oh yeah. You know, I just think that everything that happens in life is ordered. It's our day by God.
[01:06:40] So all of them, it's fake, you've made all the highs, all the lows, all the valleys. All the valleys. You know, mountains, top, experiences you've had. But the only thing that I would do a little bit different is that I would probably
[01:06:54] fall a little bit harder for the jobs that I walked away from. Okay. I'm gonna trust it God a little bit more. And if that would have been in coaching a lot longer. Wow. That's amazing. That's amazing. That's a we say to the same time. Right, that's amazing.
[01:07:13] Let me say this. I gotta say this. Your answer, the last answer to his question is the epitome of our show because you just said, you made a decision off the field or off the court that affected your on the court progress.
[01:07:30] You didn't trust God and you didn't commit, you should have. And because of that, it's, it's, it, you suffered on the court. So your answer is the epitome of what we talk about on the on the field and after field show.
[01:07:46] Well, we cover both sides of the ball as we say. And so that is, that was perfect. Like, that's, listen, you, this has been an honor. A hall of fame. A, a future. Hey, listen, a future statue holder. Y'all, here's over there. University of Tennessee.
[01:08:03] We need some hall of fame. We need some, some, some, some, some Jordys being hanging the rapters in the, but come on now. Come on, come on. Come on. We need a for God a lady for come on.
[01:08:13] We need a start of Facebook page and call it the for God and lady following. Get a five on up. And we need to go to university of Tennessee and we need to get you, we need to get you straight.
[01:08:22] They got to do you better than any of the. Still holds records today. Thanks. Yeah, body's up here. There's an almost great players. Articles Tennessee players all those years. All those years. Never knew the come close to Chuck and North Becker. Still the all time leading score.
[01:08:39] Single seed is in score. Most points. We need to do one. Anyone. Because we might need to ride the joy to meet you in person and then, we need to go to the table. How might need to meet you? That you're a superstar. You're, you're, it's an honor.
[01:08:54] You're a queen of the court. And we honor you. We think we thank God for your. Yeah, you know, he's been awesome. We appreciate your help. Me on. It's been fun. Well, listen, don't we, we don't never do no one time. Now, we always circle back. So.
[01:09:09] Keep your line hot. We'll be in the back on you. Okay, don't black a plan. Thanks for your time coach. It's been only enough to feel. We're new. Best of luck with you. Thank you. I treat the Trish Robbers. You know, in the beginning. Take care of that.
[01:09:26] Bye bye. All right. That was good stuff. Wow. Wow. Speak time. What about handcraft? Man, you need a lot of handcraft for that one. My goodness. You know, we'll give a no. My goodness. You know, I watched her.
[01:09:48] I watched her for, you know, she was in Maine the same time I was there playing football. Wow. And I watched her and her teams play. But you know, from afar, I just never really took it.
[01:10:01] You know, her being there, you know, anything other than she was a coach. But to know what she was, I had no idea. She had that type of resume. That's correct. When I saw it, I'm telling you, when I was in the training room,
[01:10:17] I just simply was like, hey, can you cook? Dude, she is a super big time. When you talk about the roots, you talk about, okay, college basketball is at its peak right now. Right. But the founders and the, she's a founder. Right. She's rush more. She's a mountain.
[01:10:37] Rush more. A founder of basketball. Yeah, for if women's right. You know what, what, what made my jaw drop? When she told us about pets, something being playing. Playing. And being a coach.
[01:10:51] But you know, the game at that time, you got to understand was kind of like an afterthought. You know, that's why Title IX came up because women's basketball was not really thought of. You could hire a clear coat.
[01:11:04] But I don't know if they, they do a 30 for 30 home pet. Yes. They, I wonder if they mentioned the fact that she was actually playing. They did. I think they did. Yes. I never knew that. Yeah. I never knew that.
[01:11:21] But they don't, obviously, they don't focus on that. That part. But that's phenomenal. That's amazing. That's amazing. That's amazing. And she was smart enough to recruit, watch the people she played against. I would, wouldn't you? That's amazing. That's, that's, that's amazing. That's how they do it. They recruit.
[01:11:41] The toughest confidence for the toughest. The toughest. It just means more. It just means more. That's amazing. That was an amazing interview. Wow. Yeah. Now, I feel blessed. Like I said, there we have known to be, to been able to broke Brad with her,
[01:11:56] have watched her games, you know, talk with her, I was seeing her on campus. You know, like I said, and then no now that, you know, I was in grit and the presence of greatness. Facts. And you know what?
[01:12:08] Something else she said that, and I didn't want it to get away, but it just too much. She said she was with the five or four. She was the woman's code. You just own campus with the five five. You just say that. You just say, oh, yeah.
[01:12:23] I was with the five five. Wait a minute. We need to talk about that. I meant it like, I wanted to pick up on it on that. Like, it's greatness, dude. Oh, I know, man. It just, it doesn't get any bigger than that. Right.
[01:12:36] Sports is the best, like, Queens of the court. He's in the court. Yeah. She's definitely Queen in the court. We got past, we got present coming and we got future coming. Yeah. Trish Roberts for the past. That's one of the best.
[01:12:49] That's the best one to best you're going to find. I came away to see who we get for the president, Brad. I'm working on it. I'm too excited about that. I'm working on it. Airbnb. Airbnb. Trish is getting to, hey, he's getting to a jug of wine.
[01:13:02] I'm working on it. And we interview him too. When they come across here, they're going to get, they're going to get interviews. Right. That's right. That's right. So look, man, I just, I'm glad we had a chance to do that.
[01:13:13] This has been our second episode of Queens at the court. Past president of the future, like I said, this is not a one time thing. It's the same. Yeah. We're going to keep it going. And you're going to do it for the man. You know what I mean?
[01:13:26] Got to. Every sport. I, here. Coach don't like boxing. I'm a huge boxer. Like I said, in like boxing, I just not, it's just not about the top of my list. I'm a huge boxer fan. It's not about the top of my list. This is the name.
[01:13:40] I want you to find a boxer though. We'll see there in the top of your list. I got to find a boxer. Okay. All right. You want a boxer. I got somebody who I went to high school with and junior high school with.
[01:13:51] And elementary school with who was in Vegas working in boxing. See how easy do that. Yeah. See how easy do that. So if you want to talk, yeah. I see how we can get them on. Yeah. See you're almost that way.
[01:14:03] He was he's take I got him on Facebook. He's taking pictures with. He's hard now with a good and all the guys. Yeah. I need that. See. Yeah. See why I'm linked up with this dude, right?
[01:14:15] He bring him in here and we just we, we, we, we, we got boxing covers. We got boxing cover. We cover everything. We cover everything. I don't know where I'm going to be. So listen, you want to, what, what you got some last words coach?
[01:14:26] You got anything you want to wrap up with anything. Look, I'm, I'm, I'm hopeful that this basketball trend will continue for the women. And and I'm ready for the WNBA to start. Wait, it's the first.
[01:14:40] I would imagine it's within a month or so because of, you know, men's playoffs is about to start. So it starts right after that. I mean, wait for maybe two months, two months. I think, some like that. I can't wait for the for the CD matchups, man.
[01:14:55] You know, you know what I mean? Especially with the story. First round is always kind of exciting. Yeah. But deep down, you kind of know who's going to win the first round. Maybe one team of a division may upset, but for the most part, the powerhouse is
[01:15:08] go day events in the NBA. But you're going to see a difference though because it's a different, uh, talent bringing. I want to see how recent I'm do. I want to see. I ain't when they match up against K-Lin, no man.
[01:15:20] You know, I got to see that New York Liberty game, Caitlin Clark and and and and and and and and and and rescue from all. Oh, that would be the highest rate of game to. Hey, oh, Nesco a sniper bro.
[01:15:34] Wait to you see the ratings for that game. She has sniper bro. She can shoot. Wait wait when K-Ligosalos Vegas. How does ticket in town? I want to see how good of a shooter she is. She thought, I mentioned that we would like a next shooter.
[01:15:48] I mean, look at the other women's players that have done well shooting wise and gone onto the WMCA. Have they struggled in that way? So why was she? The game is designed for shooters. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, she's a shooter. That she is my friend.
[01:16:08] So I'm like, you're okay. Wait for, you know, okay. I want to I'm interested to see how. Uh, I'm going to be friends. Yeah. You know what I mean? It was a time. Let's be honest. I was feeling, we've no disrespect.
[01:16:21] I watched her the first six seasons or six, seven seasons. And that kind of tapered off. Right. Watch it this month. Right. We were in, we wasn't, as hard as it is in there. Yeah. But I'm watching the day to new flavor, but yeah, I'm watching the dish.
[01:16:37] Shout out to the WMCA. There he goes. They're saying they're doing. Patti Alcoise. Yes sir. Future cook. You took Queens at the court? Yes sir. I mean, yes ma'am. Yes ma'am. Yes you go. You better watch the E. That ain't me outta here.
