The Best Game I Never Saw

Diehard Steelers fan here. Last year, I had the chance to travel to Pittsburgh for a dream weekend – Steelers vs. Packers. The cherry on top? My high school and college teammate, Ben Sirmans, is the Green Bay Packers' coach!

The fun started before the game even began. We spent the weekend at a sweet Airbnb, exploring the city, hitting up our favorite restaurants, and just enjoying each other's company.

Ben hooked us up with field passes for pre-game! It was surreal being right there on the field, soaking up the atmosphere. Speaking of victories, my Roommate Chuck from college showed up on game day.

Here's the kicker – as much as I love football (and the Steelers!), I actually had to leave before the game started! A crucial work meeting loomed, and duty called. So, with a heavy heart (and a stomach full of delicious Pittsburgh eats), I said goodbye to the crew and headed to the airport.

Sure, I missed the game itself, but that entire weekend? Pure gold. The pre-game experience, the camaraderie with friends, the laughter – it was an unforgettable experience. Who knows, maybe someday I'll get another chance to see the Steelers crush the Packers live (sorry, Ben!). But even if I don't, this trip will forever be etched in my memory as the "best game I never saw."
