Let's rewind to Episode 2 , we had the privilege of hosting the legendary Patricia Trish Roberts, a trailblazer in women's basketball and a Hall of Famer. This episode, titled "Queens of the Court," dives deep into the evolution of women's sports, the impact of Title IX, and the recent WNBA draft that showcased the incredible talent emerging in the world of women's basketball.
Patricia shared her unique journey, from being the first Black woman to play at the University of Tennessee to becoming a pioneer in coaching. She recounted her experiences during a time when women's basketball was not given the recognition it deserved. Her stories of overcoming challenges in a male-dominated sport are both inspiring and eye-opening. Patricia emphasized the importance of passion and hard work, stating, "If you love the game of basketball, you got to be passionate about it and you got to be intentional in your work ethic."
